SEPTEMBER ISSUE Bill spends a lot of his support trying out the local cafe’s. The Kelpies is one of his favourites, the staff enjoy him coming in and asked if they could put his picture in caricature version on their display wall.
As you can see this made his day.
Good news today
25th August 2026 Issue no.1
Local lady enjoys day out and ice cream.
Norma from the Falkirk area went to the Milk Barn and enjoyed a seat in the sun and a vanilla cone.
Her support worker saw that it was a beautiful day and suggested going to this location and Norma’s eyes lit up at the idea. Norma’s support worker ordered the ice cream on her behalf and asked for a small cone. As can be seen from the photos the ice cream was anything but small. Norma laughed when she saw it however made short work of it.
Norma and her support worker sat and took in the views of the fields and by Norma’s own admission she enjoyed a bit of people watching. Once finished her treat Norma went to Muiravonside Country Park which brought back some good memories of being there a long time ago. Norma was returned home by her support worker later that day and a good time was had by all.

Joyce receives regular support and her favourite part is having a pamper session, here she is showing off her freshly painted nails.
Beautiful day today. We decided to drive to Culross & try something different, so we followed the coastal path east to Preston Island & walked the circuit around the island to Valleyfield before heading back to the car; a good 2-hour walk.
Preston Island is actually an artificial island which was once used for salt production using coal from a local mine & large salt pans. The land was reclaimed in the early 19th century by Sir Robert “Floating Bob” Preston. Ruins of the buildings used can still be visited & we took some time to look round them. The island is now a nature reserve & we saw & heard a variety of birds including linnet, willow warblers & dozens of shell ducks.
